FACILITIES: AMC NICOSIA
At AMC, patient comfort takes precedence. Our building has been meticulously designed to provide a welcoming and well-organized reception area, a contemporary cafeteria, and thoughtfully equipped waiting zones, complete with indoor gardens for both patients and their families.
ARCHITECTURE
From an architectural perspective, the building has become a landmark. Its main entrance features a distinctive triangular-shaped canopy that provides protection and comfort to patients, visitors, and employees. This unique feature gives the building its own identity, making it a recognizable point of reference.
THE BUILDING
Spanning three floors and covering an expansive 10,000 square meters, the facility encompasses five advanced operating theatres and accommodates up to 50 hospital beds. Noteworthy is the rooftop helicopter landing pad, which proves invaluable in expediting emergency responses, especially during times of road congestion.
PATIENT SERVICES
Each patient enjoys a personalised multimedia cockpit, offering a range of services from internet access to Skype calls, all within arm's reach. To cater to individual preferences, our high-end cafeteria catering service allows patients to customise their menu choices. This culinary experience is available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
LIBRARY
Our refined library beckons visitors into a tranquil space for reading and study. The group study areas, equipped with wireless and network connections, are particularly designed to meet the needs of medical students. As you explore the premises, take in the historical artefacts, captivating artwork, and lush indoor gardens that grace the Center.
ENERGY SAVING MEASURES
This commitment to eco-friendliness extends to energy sources as well. The installation of a 100kWp photovoltaic system atop the facility harnesses alternative energy, contributing to our environmental initiatives.
To ensure optimal energy management and comfort, we've integrated a sophisticated central Building Management System (BMS). This system empowers our Facility manager to monitor, adjust, and anticipate the building's requirements, guaranteeing the utmost comfort for patients, visitors, and employees within the facility.
